Gold prices in Pakistan eased slightly on Monday, October 5, 2026, with 24-karat gold trading at Rs437,000 per tola in Karachi’s Sarafa Bazaar, according to Hamariweb and Pakbiz, two independently-updating live rate trackers that both showed the identical figure as of this morning. The pullback comes even as international bullion ticked up overnight, a divergence explained below.

A couple of other trackers, including Forex.pk (Rs430,143/tola) and Sarafa.pk (Rs428,600/tola, last updated 5:07am), showed a notably lower rate this morning. That gap of roughly Rs7,000-8,400 per tola is too large to be rounding noise, but it isn’t supported by the day’s fundamentals: international gold actually rose overnight and the rupee held steady against the dollar, so a fall of that size in the local rate doesn’t add up. PakDaily is going with the Rs437,000 figure, corroborated by Hamariweb, Pakbiz, and GoldRatesPakistan.com (which separately described a Rs4,000, or 0.91%, decline from the previous session’s close — consistent with the Rs437,000 level) over the outlier pair, which may not have fully refreshed for Monday’s session.

Internationally, gold rose to $4,155 per ounce on Monday, up about $15 (0.37%) from the previous session, according to Trading Economics. The move tracks a broader rally driven by a weak US jobs report — nonfarm payrolls grew by just 29,000 in September, far below forecasts, according to Investing.com, which cut market-implied odds of further Federal Reserve policy tightening from roughly 70% a week earlier to around 20% now. Lower rate expectations typically support gold, since the metal pays no interest and becomes relatively more attractive when borrowing costs are expected to stay low. Silver tracked the same mood internationally, climbing roughly 1.6% to around $61.30 an ounce.

Locally, that international strength hasn’t yet fully filtered into Karachi’s gold rate, which is still digesting last week’s declines — gold had its worst week since June before this rebound began. The rupee, meanwhile, was broadly flat against the dollar, with the interbank rate holding near Rs277.50, so currency movement wasn’t a factor in today’s local pricing. Silver in the local Sarafa market was trading around Rs6,350 per tola on Monday, down from last week’s levels, broadly in line with the softer path silver has taken locally even as its international price firmed today — based on figures from LivePriceOfGold.com and GoldPricez.com, which were closely aligned at roughly Rs6,335-6,356 per tola.

Metal / Karat Price per Tola Price per 10 Grams
24K Gold Rs437,000 Rs374,660
22K Gold Rs400,583 Rs343,438
21K Gold Rs382,375 Rs327,828
18K Gold Rs327,750 Rs280,995
Silver (999 Fine) Rs6,350 Rs5,444
International Gold $4,155 / Ounce

Readers can compare this against Sunday’s gold price update, when the market was working off a non-trading-day carryover rate. Rates can vary slightly between cities and individual jewellers, so buyers are advised to confirm the exact rate with their local Sarafa association before a transaction.
