Gold held in a tight, familiar range in Pakistan’s bullion market on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold trading at roughly Rs411,200 per tola, according to live rate trackers including Minute Mirror and Pakgold.net’s Karachi sarafa tracker. Local platforms showed a modest spread of about Rs2,000 between roughly Rs410,100 and Rs412,200 per tola through the morning — a normal gap given how often these sarafa-linked trackers refresh through the session — but all of them agreed the market was essentially flat compared with Monday’s close.

That stability follows a week of elevated prices in the international bullion market. Gold was changing hands at roughly $3,945 per troy ounce internationally on Tuesday, according to Trading Economics, barely moved (down about 0.1%) from the previous close near $3,947 — a pause after bullion had gained more than $25 an ounce a day earlier on continued safe-haven demand tied to US interest-rate expectations. With Pakistan’s interbank dollar rate holding steady, the local 24K rate slipped only marginally, by roughly Rs300, from about Rs411,500 per tola in Monday’s rate update.

Silver also traded largely unchanged in Karachi’s sarafa market, holding at Rs5,375 per tola.

Metal / Karat Per Tola (Rs) Per 10 Grams (Rs)
24K Gold 411,200 352,540
22K Gold 376,933 323,161
21K Gold 359,800 308,500
18K Gold 308,400 264,430
Silver 5,375 4,608
International Gold (per troy ounce, USD) $3,945

The 22K, 21K and 18K figures above are derived from the 24K rate using the standard purity ratios (22/24, 21/24 and 18/24), since most Karachi sarafa trackers quote 24K and 22K directly and calculate the rest. Rates can still move during the trading day in response to shifts in the international spot price and the rupee’s exchange rate against the dollar, so buyers are advised to confirm the live rate with their local jeweller or sarafa association before a purchase.
