Gold prices in Pakistan held steady on Monday, with 24-karat gold trading at Rs410,000 per tola in the local bullion market, unchanged from the previous session’s close, according to rates tracked from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The flat opening follows a volatile stretch last week, when gold fell by roughly Rs10,800 per tola in a single session before stabilising near current levels. Monday’s steadiness suggests the market is consolidating after that pullback rather than resuming the slide. In Sunday’s rate update, the 24K price had already settled near where it stands today.
The pause in local prices mirrors a quiet international market. Spot gold was trading around $3,876 per ounce on Monday, only marginally changed from the roughly $3,872 level seen over the weekend. Bullion has been range-bound as traders await clearer signals on the US Federal Reserve’s next interest-rate move, with expectations of a December rate cut largely already priced in after last week’s sharp swings. A steady US dollar and limited fresh buying interest from Asian markets at the start of the week have also kept gold from making a decisive move in either direction. Silver followed a similar pattern, holding close to its recent range after sliding alongside gold over the weekend.

Rates can vary slightly between Karachi, Lahore, and other city bullion markets depending on local demand, and jewellers typically add making charges on top of the bare metal rate for finished ornaments. Buyers are advised to confirm the rate with their local Sarafa association or jeweller before any large transaction, since bullion prices can move more than once during a single trading day if international markets are volatile.
