Gold prices in Pakistan eased further on Saturday morning, with live Karachi-linked rate trackers quoting 24-karat gold at around Rs423,000 per tola as the brief post-election rally that had pushed rates above Rs435,000 earlier in the week continued to unwind.
According to PakGold.net, which publishes a Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sarafa-linked live benchmark, 24-karat gold was trading at Rs423,362 per tola early Saturday — down from Rs429,136 per tola on Friday, the rate formally announced by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJSA) and reported by Bloom Pakistan. Friday’s rate was itself a sharp Rs6,500 pullback from Thursday’s multi-week high of Rs435,636 per tola, the peak of a rally that followed the November 3 US midterm elections. Markets had read Democratic gains in that vote as a check on the Trump administration, weakening the US dollar and dragging down US Treasury yields, which lifted gold’s appeal as a hedge — a move PakDaily’s Friday rate update had captured near its morning peak of roughly Rs435,500 per tola, before the market gave back most of those gains later in the day.
The retreat since has tracked a recovering US dollar internationally. A stronger-than-expected US jobs report trimmed bets on near-term Federal Reserve rate cuts and pulled the dollar higher, according to a market report from USAGold, pushing international spot gold down from Thursday’s high near $4,131 an ounce to around $4,065-4,066 an ounce by Friday and into Saturday — essentially flat over the past day even as the local rupee rate kept easing. It is worth noting that the APGJSA’s own rate for Saturday had not yet been formally announced at the time of writing, and live-tracker readings such as PakGold.net’s have run a few thousand rupees below the APGJSA’s board rate on both of the past two trading days, so the official closing figure for Saturday, once announced, could come in somewhat higher than the live-tracker number below.
| Metal / Karat | Per Tola (Rs) | Per 10 Grams (Rs) |
|---|---|---|
| 24K Gold | 423,362 | 362,965 |

| 21K Gold | 370,442 | 317,594 |
| 18K Gold | 317,522 | 272,224 |
| Silver | 5,775 | 4,951 |
| International Gold (per ounce, USD) | $4,065.60 | |
Silver bucked gold’s downward trend slightly, with PakGold.net’s local Sarafa rate putting it at Rs5,775 per tola on Saturday, a touch firmer than Friday’s Rs5,678 per tola reported by Bloom Pakistan — a divergence that lines up with wider precious-metals trade this week, in which silver has outperformed gold on some sessions even as the broader metals complex cooled from its post-election highs.
Gold and silver rates in Pakistan continue to track the international market closely, along with the rupee’s own movement against the dollar, so jewellers’ quotes can shift more than once through the trading day. As always, buyers and sellers should confirm the live rate with their local Sarafa dealer or jeweller before any transaction rather than relying solely on a single morning quote.
