The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) has officially launched the pilot phase of Pakistan’s first E-Disposal Module, part of the broader e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS). This initiative represents a major step forward in modernizing and digitizing public procurement and asset disposal in the country.

The system was formally inaugurated by PPRA Managing Director Hasnat Ahmed Qureshi during a ceremony at the Project Management Unit (PMU) EPADS in Islamabad.

The E-Disposal Module is designed to simplify the process of disposing of government-owned assets and support the privatization process in a transparent, efficient manner.

The pilot rollout has begun with Pakistan Customs and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. These two institutions will start mandatory use of the system from July 1, 2025, with a full rollout across all federal agencies expected by December 2025.

To support the implementation, a three-day training session was held for Master Trainers, with 26 officials from both institutions participating. The session aimed to build capacity and ensure smooth adoption of the new platform.

During the launch, MD PPRA Hasnat Ahmed Qureshi praised the PMU team for their efforts and encouraged users to provide meaningful feedback to help improve the system ahead of its wider adoption. He emphasized the importance of this feedback in optimizing the platform for nationwide use.

In the fiscal year 2024–25, procurements totaling Rs. 748 billion were completed through EPADS, with an additional Rs. 2,602 billion currently in progress.
