Gold prices in Pakistan eased slightly on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold trading at around Rs432,200 per tola in Karachi’s sarafa bazaars, according to live rate trackers Hamariweb and Minute Mirror, which reported near-identical figures for the day. That is only marginally below Monday’s Rs432,500 level, keeping the local market essentially flat even as the international market softened a bit more noticeably.
Globally, spot gold slipped to around $4,140 per ounce from roughly $4,197 a day earlier, a drop of close to 1.4 percent, according to Kitco pricing data. Dealers attributed the pullback to a firmer US dollar and reduced bets on near-term Federal Reserve rate cuts after recent comments from Fed officials, which made non-yielding assets like gold comparatively less attractive to international investors. The rupee, meanwhile, held close to its recent range against the dollar — trading around Rs277.5 to Rs280.2 in the open market, per Forex.pk — so currency movement had little independent effect on the local price this time; the small local dip largely mirrored the international move, cushioned by the fact that the decline abroad was itself fairly modest.
Silver was more mixed across trackers. Hamariweb and Aaj News, the latter citing the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, both put the local rate in a Rs6,200–6,350 per tola range, little changed from Monday’s Rs6,402. A couple of other trackers, including UrduPoint and Gold.pk, quoted noticeably higher rates near Rs6,770–6,790 per tola — a gap not supported by international silver, which held almost flat near $57 per ounce on the day. This report follows the lower, Sarafa Association–corroborated cluster, with the wide local variance itself a sign that bazaar-to-bazaar quotes can diverge sharply even when the global price barely moves.

Gold and silver rates in Pakistan are revised daily by local sarafa associations based on the international bullion price, the dollar-rupee exchange rate, and import costs, so figures can vary slightly between cities and even between dealers within the same city. Buyers are advised to confirm the exact rate with their local jeweller before a transaction, since the figures above reflect the broad market average for Karachi.
